Medical, Healthcare & Mobility
Within the healthcare industry, we’ve been involved in designing and creating vulcanised joints for mobility bed frames.
We also recently undertook a project that involved sealing individual research laboratories with a moulded rubber extrusion, where it was vital that each one was airtight to stop the spread of infection.
Rubber is used widely for sports orthotics, splints, collars and braces where material needs to be lightweight but also have the right balance of rigidity and elasticity. And foam is used for wheelchair padding, knee, arm and head supports – it’s lightweight, cushioning and hardwearing.
Bespoke applications
We work with customers to provide solutions for real problems that exist within a medical environment. We can create a CAD drawing and find a single or twin polymer material that meets your exact specifications.
